Chennai and several parts of Tamil Nadu are facing severe waterlogging as heavy rainfall continues to pour down due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal. The storm, expected to make landfall along the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram near Puducherry, is bringing gusty winds and intense rain. With wind speeds ranging from 70-80 kmph, gusting to 90 kmph, the cyclone is set to hit the region by the evening of 30th November. Authorities have issued warnings for coastal areas and are on high alert to ensure the safety of residents. Emergency services are being mobilized as heavy rains threaten to disrupt normal life, with severe waterlogging already visible in various parts of Chennai.
