Why I didn’t buy a Polar Rolex Explorer 2

In 2011 Rolex celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Explorer II collection.

In 2020 I purchased my third Rolex the Rolex Explorer II reference 216570. In 2021, a full ten years later it was discontinued. This marked the collection’s 50th anniversary. No special edition followed but a replacement the reference 226570. This reference featured a new movement but largely resembled my watch the 216570 except NO more shadow hands.
