Recent large-scale studies show cemented implants achieve 5-yr survival rates of ~97.6%, making them reliable for patients with poor bone quality or older adults
Cementless: relies on biological fixation through osseointegration, where your natural bone grows directly onto specially coated implant surfaces. Modern cementless implants feature advanced coatings like plasma-sprayed titanium and hydroxyapatite that promote bone ingrowth. Research shows comparable 5-yr survival (~98.7%), with some studies showing slightly better outcomes in younger, more active patients
