Dr. Kiran Bedi offers prayers to Athi Varadar

Lt. Governor Dr. Kiran Bedi along with #TeamRajNivas visited Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu and had darshan of Lord #Athivaradar. Athi Varadar is the idol of the Varadaraja Perumal Temple.

The deity is made of fig tree and hence the name Athi Varadar. The idol is immersed in Anantasaras, the temple tank.

The idol is brought out once in 40 years, pujas done and the idol, then, is restored to the water bed.
