Delay, Reverb, Modulation (chorus flanger) BEFORE or AFTER overdrive? | BitQuest FX Loop vs In Front

Описание к видео Delay, Reverb, Modulation (chorus flanger) BEFORE or AFTER overdrive? | BitQuest FX Loop vs In Front

Time based effects going pre or post distortion: delay, reverb, mod in effects loop vs in the front end! Dr Scientist BitQuest providing all the luscious effects!

In short: the differences will be most evident using a HIGH GAIN type of drive so we have it ready! The less distortion, the smaller the difference.

When using time based effects after your drive, they repeat, modulate and affect the already compressed and distorted guitar signal, giving you relatively familiar tones.

When using time based effects before your drive, their repeats, modulation and effects on the whole guitar signal (including guitar noise) is compressed and distorted entirely, giving you unique tones: thicker, more powerful gain tones, less extreme modulation, unruly screaming harmonics heavily dependent on which strings are ringing out, slightly more noise, and a whole lot of fun!
