There is a teenage girl in my church’s youth group that is turning 16 years old and want to play electric guitar. Because I love seeing young people pursue music, I decided to buy her a guitar for her birthday. I had a $100 budget and headed to Music Go Round in Houston TX. They sell used gear, which I love to buy rather than new. After browsing along the electric guitar wall I narrowed it down to three guitars all under $100: A Squier Bullet Stratocaster, Epiphone SG Special, and Aria “Strat”. In the end, one of them stood out ahead of the other two and I purchased a great used guitar for this young ladies sixteenth birthday.
