In case you if you have lost a phone number and want to change the phone number of your facebook account then what you do open facebook application. Tap on this more option here. Go to "settings and privacy" - "settings". Go to this option "Personal and account information". Go to this option "contact info" and here you will be able to see the phone number that you are using right now. Now if you want to change the phone number what you have to do is at first you have to add another phone number. So I will add another phone number here. continue. So a confirmation code has been sent to my mobile number which I have to enter here. confirm. close. So you can see a new phone number has been added to my facebook account. Now what I have to do is I have to remove the old phone number. So I will select the old phone number. Remove and then select this option I understand I could lose access to my account and then Remove number. Now there won't be any side effect of this one because you have already added another phone number and if you know the password of your facebook account you won't lose anything. Select Remove number so you have to enter your Facebook password once again and then remove phone now the phone number has been removed. so you have successfully changed the phone number of your facebook account.
