LFRS Part 3 Components and Load Path

Описание к видео LFRS Part 3 Components and Load Path

This video is 2 of 3 in a basic introduction to Lateral Force Resisting Systems. The nature of this video series is big picture and not focused on calculations.

The Learning Objectives for the series include:
1. Identify types of lateral force resisting systems (LFRS)
2. Identify the nature of the response of the each LFRS.
3. Identify the typical components of a building related LFRS.
4. Trace the load path of lateral loads through a LFRS.

In Part 1, the basic load types that structures resist are introduced: Wind, Seismic, Earth, and Fluid.

In Part 2: the basic types of systems used to resist lateral forces are introduced: Braced Frames, Moment Frames, and Shear Walls

In Part 3: the basic components and how they work together are introduced: Vertical elements, Diaphragm, Collectors & Struts
