The Cash Money Records reunion at the 2024 Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans did not fully materialize as anticipated. While there was a showcase featuring Cash Money artists, the highly anticipated Hot Boys reunion was incomplete.

Only two of the four original Hot Boys members, Juvenile and B.G., performed together on stage. Lil Wayne, the most prominent member of the group, was present at the event but did not participate in the Cash Money reunion or interact with his former labelmates.

Instead, Lil Wayne delivered a separate 20-minute solo performance starting at 1:30 AM, during which the Cash Money logos were replaced by his own Young Money Entertainment branding. This separation highlighted the ongoing divisions within the Cash Money camp.

The fourth Hot Boy, Turk, was absent from the event, reportedly due to unresolved "business" issues with Bryan "Birdman" Williams.

Despite the incomplete reunion, the show featured performances by Juvenile, B.G., Birdman, and Mannie Fresh, who delivered Cash Money hits like "I Need a Hot Girl" and "Bling Bling". However, the absence of a full Hot Boys reunion left some fans disappointed, as it fell short of the complete Cash Money reunion many had hoped to see.
