With full winter gear on my back I set off seeking my usual fix of solitude in The Peak District up high on the moorland at one of my favourite hangouts on the most magnificent little edge nestled in amongst the famous Higgor Tor and Over Owler Tor. As forecast, the temperature dropped and the snow fell thick and steady after dark, covering the U.K. in a blanket of beautiful white. I woke up in my toasty warm sleeping bag, drank steamy Yorkshire tea before first light admiring the glow of my tent. Like a glowing beacon she was. I didnt want to leave. My heart is still so full from my first experience of camping in the snow ❄️⛄️
