Why Does Audubon Certified Matter?

Grassland birds have declined more than any other bird species group. Audubon Conservation Ranching is our response, a national habitat effort to stabilize their populations. To earn certification, farmers and ranchers must meet rigorous program requirements in areas of habitat management, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare.

The Audubon Certified bird-friendly seal appears on beef or bison products, recognizing lands managed for birds and biodiversity. The label marks the National Audubon Society’s bird-friendly land certification that farmers and ranchers earn through Audubon’s Conservation Ranching program.
