"Big Hit just came home about 4 months ago. He was in and out of jail during Hit Boy’s whole life as far as I understand. Then imagine coming home to your son being top 5 greatest producers in the industry. Big Hit claimed this was “surreal and a dream come true” in our exclusive UNDRGRND Magazine interview.

Although Hit Boy has seen the height of his career in the past few years he still seems hungrier than ever. He was able to help legendary emcee Nasir Jones receive his first Grammy and complete a 6 album run which is unheard of for a legacy act like Nas. Hit Boy’s ability to not only be the go to producer to craft the highest level hip hop projects in the same, mixed with his personal drive of releasing his own music, treating himself like an artist and focusing on his label - is single handedly why you see Hit Boy where he is. The farthest thing from luck. Real hard work. A true testament to show you don’t have to stay boxed in to just one thing. Super Producer, Artist, Business Man, Father, Son and the list goes on.

During our opportunity to come to Hits studio we talked about everything he had going on and I could tell his number one focus and forget business but his PASSION, was to execute his Father, Big Hit’s album and rollout.

The Big Hit movement has applied a serious amount of pressure to the hip hop game, especially on the west coast here. His consistency and intricate story certainly has everyone intrigued for what’s next.
