"SIMPLE GIFTS" but it's a famous classical guitar arrangement

"Simple Gifts" is one of the most famous and popular American folk songs of all time. It was composed by the "Shaker" sect in the mid 19th century and later made famous by Aaron Copland in his "Appalachian Spring."

This sensational, virtuoso, arrangement for guitar was done for the American classical guitarist, Christopher Parkening and released on his 1982 album, also called "Simple Gifts."

Parkening was the first classical guitarist that captured my attention, and it was THIS piece from his album that made me put down my electric guitar, and pick up a classical guitar. This video is my little tribute to Christopher Parkening. That being the case, this video was recorded on a 1971 Jose Ramirez 1a guitar. :)
