Assalamu Alaikum , dear brothers, sisters, friends and eleders.
By the grace of Allah Almighty and the mercy of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), we welcome you to the blessed Series of Hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). In this journey, we are narrating the most authentic collection of Hadiths, Sahih Bukhari, which the Ummah has declared to be the most reliable book after the Holy Quran.

Every Hadith that we are described is not just a statement of words, but it is a lamp of guidance, a window to the Sunnah and a reminder of the timeless wisdom of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The best among you is the one who learns knowledge and teaches it. By listening to these Hadiths and reflecting on them, we are participating in this great mission of spreading knowledge and reviving the Sunnah.

In each installment of Hadiths, God willing, we will present a hadith, explain its meaning, and show how we can act upon it in our daily lives.

Let’s start with today’s blessed hadith, Hadith No. 36 from Sahih Al-Bukhari.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The person who participates in (Holy battles) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr). Had I not found it difficult for my followers, then I would not remain behind any sariya going for Jihad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allah's cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then made alive, and then again martyred in His cause."

Dear brothers, sisters, friends and elders, we pray at the end of the hadith that O Allah Almighty, we thank You for blessing us with the words of Your beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Grant us the ability to understand these hadiths and act upon them with sincerity. Fill our hearts with faith, our actions with goodness and our tongues with truth. Protect us from weakness, pride and forgetfulness. Include us among those who act upon the Quran and Sunnah with love and humility. Forgive our mistakes, accept our efforts, and gather us under the shadow of Your mercy and in the company of Your Prophet on the Day of Judgment. Amen
