Today's fancy, schmancy mixer has influenced a DJ's cognitive performance, and not in a good way. Features like hot cue buttons and trigger pads, while providing instant access to the sounds you're manipulate during a set, are contributing to the decline of DJ I.Q.. Basic tasks like manually cueing up a sound in your headphones while music is playing on the opposite turntable have become foreign and complicated to many.
