Starbucks will open a corporate office in Nashville later this year as the company looks to expand its operations in the Southeast, but the move does not mean the coffee giant is leaving Seattle.

“Seattle remains our North America and Global Support HQ,” a Starbucks representative said in a message responding to questions about the company’s plans in Davidson County.

Additional details about the Nashville office were shared on background from an internal email sent to employees by Starbucks Chief Supply Chain Officer Sanjay Shah.
