On Ain’t Gonna Cut New Orleans Rapper/Producer Ross Palmer uses a melodic and acrobatic delivery to detail the fallout surrounding his father’s affair. Over his hypnotic production consisting of dreamy keys and distorted 808’s, he illustrates both the heartbreak and personal growth that he has seen as a result, while simultaneously sneaking in slick lines like “I might of fell but I bounced back, I’m like Metro and Sean in one pack.” On the second half of the song, he is joined by Baton Rouge’s Lango who compliments Ross with his psychedelic style as they explain why minimum wage Ain’t Gonna Cut after all they have been through.

Ain't Gonna Cut is the second single off Ross's debut project Mind The Gap.
