back when i started this show, i really didn't expect to be this invested and involved in it so this came as a wonderful, unexpected July present. i loved how real these two were and i just really appreciated their overall arc as individuals and a couple even tho it got a bit frustrating at times.
(also shoutout to Wang Churan bec pls just look how pretty she is!! she did such a wonderful job with xu qin and made her likeable, believable and sympathetic despite her supposed icy exterior).

a little trivia: there have been many times I've wanted to use this song (for other ships) but i just couldn't get around to do it?? so this is extra special bec i absolutely love this song and it just fits them so perfectly.
