In this video, “Gold Fund of Funds (FoFs) - a unique mutual fund investment” we will be discussing the StockEdge Mutual Fund Class of Gold Fund-of-Funds.

A fund-of-fund is a unique type of mutual fund which invests in various other mutual funds. In this video, we will first begin by discussing the basics of a fund-of-fund, and what makes it different from the various mutual funds in a separate category that fits neither debt nor equity funds.

Following the discussion about the basics and the types of funds-of-funds, we will come to the type of the FoF we will be focusing on in this video - the Gold FoF. This is an open ended fund-of-fund scheme which invests primarily in Gold funds. As per SEBI, at least 95% of the fund’s total corpus should be invested in a gold fund.

Why should an investor choose to invest in gold through an FoF instead of an ETF? This, along with some other important questions that investors might have about this category, will be answered in this brief video.
