Llanos de la Pez
In order to set up your tent you must first make a reservation through the official website of the Gran Canaria Cabildo
The encampment area is very nice a large pine forest and offers: tables for eating, barabcue area and a bathroom (no showers).
If you have any problems or doubts about booking you can contact them directly by phone at: +34 928219421 or +34 928219494 they were very kind in guiding me through the online booking and it was a quick and easy process.
Tips for the trip
Bring cold weather gear as the temperatures in the morning and at night drop a lot :=.
The nearest supermarket is in Vega de San Mateo, is a very nice mountain village you will find there, bars, restaurants, pharmacies, gas station etc..
The supermarkets available are Spar and Superdino the second one is much better stocked.
How to get to Roque del Nublo.
We started from an area called Bailico where you can also camp you can find it in the cabildo site and it is a few minutes drive from Llanos de la pez. From there you will find a trail and all the directions to easily reach the destination the Roque del Nublo.
Travel time about 2 hours with various stops for photos, videos and food.
Halfway as you can appreciate from the video we found a truck offering local products, sandwiches, fresh orange juice, coffee in short everything you need to recharge your energy :).
