• China's Communist Party ends key meeting, to unveil economic policies. China's ruling Communist Party ended a key four-day meeting of top leaders on Thursday, set to unveil its mid to long-term economic policies amid challenges including the prolonged property sector crisis and population decline. The third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee is set to release the outcome of the closed-door gathering in a communique.

• Vigil in Dharamsala Condemns Closure of Gangjong Sherig Norbu School in Tibet. Coinciding with International Justice Day, a candlelight vigil was held in Dharamsala to protest the forced closure of Gangjong Sherig Norbu School in Golog, Amdo region of Tibet, by the Chinese government. In a joint statement, the organizers condemned the closure of the school, highlighted as an example of China's efforts to suppress Tibetan cultural and intellectual heritage. The CTA and former students of the school expressed deep concern and called for international solidarity in advocating for justice and the preservation of Tibetan education.
• Chinese Billionaire and Bannon Ally Is Convicted of Fraud. A federal jury found that Guo Wengui defrauded investors, many of his own fervent supporters, of more than $1 billion. He could face decades in prison, guilty of nine out of 12 counts involving racketeering conspiracy and securities fraud, wire fraud and money laundering. Guo, also known as Miles Guo, “faces decades in prison” when the judge hands down a sentence on November 19, according to the prosecutor.
