Was this our biggest $700 mistake or did our Halong Bay cruise end up being worth the luxury price tag? Vietnam is known as a destination that can typically be very cheap - but not Halong Bay! To truly take in the beauty of the area, everything we researched said you at least needed to take an overnight cruise. We chose to take a 2-night, 3-day cruise with Mon Cheri Cruises, for a grand total of $700.
