Ten Hag talks about the situation that saw De Ligt leave the field for treatment and the resulting goal. He states that he’s not thinking of the result as a turning point—just another win on their journey through the season. He expresses that there was a lot of anger at halftime going in a goal down after feeling they were controlling the game, and there was never any thought of substituting De Ligt. He adds that he really enjoyed the performance of Marcus Rashford, who showed what he was capable of in creating Garnacho’s goal.

When asked whether he has set any goal targets for Garnacho, he says he needs to score more than last season’s 10 goals to show he is improving. He also discusses Rashford’s improvement over recent weeks in terms of intensity and creativity, noting that this has been mirrored in other areas of the team as well.
