When you make a plan, and it doesn’t go as planned… it can be very frustrating, right? That trip. That job. That arrangement. That result. You may think to yourself: Why is this happening (or why not)? Why me? Why now?

One such moment in the seerah (life) of the Prophet ﷺ was the Treaty of Hudaybiyah. At face value, to the Companions, it seemed like a humiliating and disheartening defeat. Yet Allah called it A Clear Victory (48:1). Only later did it become clear to the believers that it was indeed a Turning Point.
