Bringing Down a Hung Up Tree

The wind brought this Alder tree part way down last year and I wanted to get it on the ground to make into firewood.
I wasn't sure how the initial cut would go but was pleasantly surprised when it separateld and didn't pinch the bar.
The Portable Winch Co. PCW-5000 got the job done with the help of a snatch block attached to the choker chain.
They make a cone that goes over the stub end of the tree which helps keep it from digging into the ground and it would have made the dragging easier here had I used it.
