Road to Zion was a short travelogue from BYU TV that visited various location from Church History. While often a tad short on providing full context, its main audience was not historians but lay members simply looking for a fun trek through Church History sites.

Upon arriving in the Salt Lake Valley, Brigham Young and his fellow pioneers began to establish Utah as a hive of activity, despite the fact that the area was isolated, arid, and short on natural resources. Beginning at This is the Place Heritage Park, overlooking the Salt Lake Valley, you'll experience firsthand what life was like for the early pioneers in Old Deseret Village. Then you will head into the valley to Brigham Young's home, the Beehive House. You will also retrace the trek of handcart companies in the untamed region of Martin's Cove, Wyoming, and then travel to southern Utah, stopping at Cove Fort, a traditional resting place for weary travelers. Once in St. George, you'll visit the homes of Brigham Young and early settler Jacob Hamblin. Finally, you'll learn of the St. George Temple, an architectural wonder that tested the financial and physical mettle of the Saints.
