Dress Part 4: Invisible Zip

This video demonstrates in detail how to insert an invisible zipper.

This is part 4 or a 6 part series. I have recorded the whole process of making a dress with princess seams and a gathered skirt. I've also added lining to the bodice and skirt.

While there are many videos that show this whole process or parts of it, there are often small details missing - you watch the video and wonder exactly how something was done. By recording the whole process, I have included the little things that I don't realise I'm doing, such as the way I position the overlocker so it doesn't cut into the fabric and how often I stop to reposition the fabric when I'm sewing.

But it also means that the video is very long. Thank goodness you don't have to watch it all at real speed. You can go into settings and move the speed up to 1.5, or whatever works for you. Then when there's something you want to watch more carefully you can slow it down again.
