Delhi-NCR Faces Severe Smog as AQI Hits 442; Schools Closed, Hybrid Work Mode Advised | NewsX

Residents of Delhi-NCR woke up to a thick layer of smog as the air quality index (AQI) remained in the 'severe' category for the third consecutive day, with an overall AQI reading of 442. Thirty-two stations in Delhi reported 'severe' levels, with areas like Anand Vihar, Burari, and Lajpat Nagar surpassing AQI 480. In response to worsening pollution, authorities have imposed GRAP-IV restrictions, closing schools in Delhi NCR and advising offices in Noida to adopt a hybrid work model. These measures aim to control pollution levels and protect public health.
