Ludwig Acrolite or Ludwig Standard Aluminum - which is better?

With Ludwig acrolite prices on the rise with no signs of stopping, more drummers are gravitating towards the cheaper model - the Ludwig standard aluminum s-102 snare. Both are raw aluminum shells, with 8 lugs and triple-flanged hoops, but do they sound the same? In this #snaresaturday video it's time to find out and determine which drum is better - the cult classic Ludwig Acrolite, or the younger sibling Ludwig Standard Aluminum!
