The Return of Vine! Should Google Buy HubSpot? - Marketing News This Week

Story Number 1

If there’s one thing Elon Musk is good at, it’s getting the internet in a tizzy. And with one of his latest Tweets, he’s done it again. Elon casually dropped a poll on X asking if he should bring back the once-popular Vine app. Obviously, people went a bit crazy with an overwhelmingly positive response. This might not just be talk though, as an engineer at X shared a link to Logan Paul’s mothballed Vine page just to fire people up even more. Would Elon actually bring Vine back from the dead? And if so, would people really care enough to use it?

Story Number 2

A number of outlets online have reported that Google is considering buying HubSpot. HubSpot is one of the leaders in the inbound marketing software space. While some think Google could just go and build something similar on its own, this potential acquisition would provide Google with a ton of useful customer data, as well as a turnkey opportunity to jump into the CRM and marketing automation business.
