This video is to show how I go about making hook earring wires with a home-made ear wire tool.
handmade earrings are easy to achieve when crafting hook earrings by using a DIY earring wire tool.
When producing a lot of handmade earrings an ear wire tool technique allows earring wire making to be quick and easy.

So this is the original text I used to explain what was going on.

I made this earring wire tool a few years back, to help produce stock for a craft fair I was attending.
The wooden dowel peg was glued into a hole and the small metal pins are removable.
There is a multitude of ways to make and form earring wires, I like this technique because
it’s easy to reproduce for other shapes sizes and styles.
I made this first tool by initially shaping a single ear wire to copy.
This is then easily transferred to a bit of wood, by marking where the drill holes need to be.
This tiny cup burr, does a great job of smoothing the edges of cut wire.
Normally used in a mini drill, but can work well in a hand tool.
After cleaning up the end, I first form the small loop that holds the earring.
It’s worth knowing how much wire is used for each one and how much they would cost.
I would normally polish a batch of these in a tumble barrel polisher.
A quick look at the Cooksongold website, will tell me how much they would cost
using new silver wire.
The cost of the material used would be less than one pound for a pair.

Hope it still makes some sort of sense.
