eBay is one of the largest online marketplaces on the planet, and is in direct competition with Amazon, Alibaba, etc. Learning how to sell on Ebay gives you access to an enormous potential customer base. In this interview with Dave Kosciusko, he shares how he generates up to $30,000 per month selling on eBay.
From Warwick, Rhode Island, Dave had a rough childhood. He lost his father at 16 years old, dropped out of college a few years later, and was kicked out of his mother's house because he left school. She didn't think he was going to be successful, and so Dave went his own way.
He started off selling vacuum cleaners door to door, rising to the top of the company as the top salesperson in the entire Rhode Island division within a few short years. Eventually he became the General Manager and ran the company for about 8 years.
During this time Dave went out on his own a few times, failed, and went bankrupt twice before the age of 30. As he puts it, he took his "bumps and bruises" while he was in his twenties. From there, he, his wife, and their newly born daughter lost their house in the crash of 2008, so he had to move into his mother's basement.
After the second bankruptcy, he thought to himself, "I never want to have to go through this again." So he started reading, and within three years he had read over 300 books which helped to grow his business knowledge. From there, he started going to yard sales and flipping stuff on eBay.
That expanded into cell phones and $250,000 in sales within 8 months of starting that business just working on a couch in his mother's basement. That changed his life forever. He founded his own company, iBuy4resale, Inc., and the rest is history.
