Yodeling Bill - By Sourdough Slim

Way up in the high Sierras lived a mountaineer listen to my story won’t you lend an ear. He had the sweetest yodel, the canyons he did fill. He became a legend, his name was Yodeling Bill.

He became a legend, his name was Yodeling Bill.

He had a couple billy goats, he had a herd of cows, But he kept his pride and joy in a shed behind the house. It was a real ripsnortin’ gurglin’ whiskey still, you ought of heard Bill Yodel when he’d get his fill.

Now when he got a hankering to paint the town what a hunk of man he was listen to that sound. He drove the ladies crazy with his magic trill, when old Bill would yodel they’d really get a thrill.

Little Kids they’d follow him, gather at this feet, hoping that old Bill would give them all a yodeling treat. Candy canes and sugar plums to little Jack and Jill couldn’t hold a candle to a yodel from old Bill.

Bill lived a long and happy life his yodel served him well, but at the age of 99 death finally rang his nell. As old Bill was heading over that great divide, he let out a yodel when he reached the other side!
