🚨 A historic tornado outbreak was predicted all week across Oklahoma, and today it nearly hit home. Our NOAA weather radio began blaring tornado watches early this morning, but life on the farm doesn't stop. We had to deliver hatching eggs from Paragon Hatchery to UPS, but while away, severe weather warnings intensified.
Local TV stations warned of giant hail, 60 mph winds, and tornado-producing storms heading straight for our house. The sky turned pitch black as we sped home, worried for our son and animals. Thunder shook the ground, and torrential rain came down in sheets. This was one of the scariest weather events we’ve ever faced on the ranch, being away.
Thankfully, our home was spared, but several neighboring communities were hit hard by tornado damage. We share this real-time experience of racing the storm, the chaos of the warnings, and our deep gratitude for making it home safely.
