I don't understand what's going on
in this world in which we live

I'm angry, ask me why I feel this way about the world
Truth is always hidden but I see what's going on
I hate it, detest it, it does not change
despite what I say or how I say it

Don't question me about the way I feel,
This is life not a dream
This is real

Crackheads everywhere, empty vials carpet the ground
Searching for a fix and a bliss that will never be found
A child new to the world has been cursed and now will never grow
The parents beat the child to death
They themselves were kids not old enough to know.

I am armed with anger now
because of the things I see
and nobody knows what is going on inside of me

Don't patronize me with your petty sympathy
Cause I've been speaking but you ain't been listening to what I am saying.
You force your eyes not to see what's really going on
But life don't work that way
And so with anger we are armed
