Adobe Photoshop is one of the best photo editing programs you could wish to use. It is one of the only photo programs that give you dual ability to practice your photography skills and your graphic design skills.

There are a number of free photo editing programs and most of them have pros and cons.

So when you are choosing a good photo editing program, you have to consider what your final output is going to be, and then determine which of the free photo editing programs you will go for.

The beauty of using free photo editing programs is that as you don't have to pay for them you can use all of them for different tasks and export them to use in other photo programs to make your creation.

In deciding which photo editing program you want to use, you also have to think about whether you are going to use an online photo editing program where everything will be saved into the cloud as long as you have a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi connection.

If on the other hand, you take your laptop around with you and show clients your work, i.e. a web design mockup, a studio session preview or even wedding photography, then maybe you would be better off getting a free photo editing program that you can download and install onto your computer. Making all of your files accessible locally.
