I hear you asking... how many solar panels?

A great question, there are an incredible 32,500 of the blue terrors at Foxburrow Farm and they supply all their electricity to the nearby Adastral Park.

Adastral Park is the former British Telecom (BT) Research Laboratories or BT Labs and has now been re-branded Adastral Park to reflect an expansion in the organisations and activities co-located with BT Labs at the campus.

Whew!!! That's a lot of information (I'm not really from their PR team).

Still, I guess they can afford to leave the lights on.

Hmmmh what else to say...

Well I couldn't find any specific information about these wind turbines but I would say the are about 190-200 feet high (about 60 metres) which would make the span of the blade about 170 feet or 50 metres.

So although it looks like I was close, I really did keep my distance!

The flight/filming was another early start, my thanks to my other half for motivating me to get out the door at 0400 (I really didn't feel like it).

The location and topic was a last minute thing and I did zero preparation for the filming other than to previously select a spot to take off from.

I really must plan more.

When I arrived, I wasn't really feeling the vibe.

It didn't improve while flying either and I was actually considering calling it off, as I was struggling to get decent footage due to there being no cloud cover whatsoever.

This resulted in a lot of footage being over exposed and cut in the edit.

When I realised how bright it was I stuck an ND8 on which thankfully did the trick.

Editing was really no fun at all.

I did one draft showed the other half, her response was underwhelming (and she was so right). I kind of knew in my heart it wasn't right but after 4 hours of graft I didn't really want to hear it.

So I went back to the drawing board and after another 2 hours here we have it.

So like it or not, this is the final version (I really was having flashbacks to my previous solar farm video which was also a nightmare to edit)

So never again (again!).
