1. What is Normal Valve positions of 5 way manifold valve?
When Differential pressure transmitter is in service, both block valves will remain open.
And both equalizing valves will remain closed. And vent valve will also remain close, when dpt is in service.

2. How to remove DPT from service?
Remove DPT from service, first of all, close any of one block valve.
Then open both equalizing valve. Which one first does not matter.
After this, close the other block valve.
At the end, open the vent valve.
Once we open the the vent valve, DPT is out of service. And it is safe to remove from process.
In addition to this, once dpt is out of service, we can also do in place transmitter calibration.
3.How to put DPT back into service?
To put DPT back to service, first of all, close the vent valve.
Then open the one of the block valve.
After this, closed the both equalizing valve. which one does not matter.
At the end, open the other side block valve.
Once we open other side block valve, DPT is in service. And it will show differential pressure reading on display.
