CIA will be the first photography school in Cambodia offering a wide range of photography courses, practical workshops and photography travel trips, that guarantee "Whatever your interests, whatever your skill level, you'll love what you learn at the Canon Imaging Academy" -- a slogan shared by other CIAs around the world. The launch of CIA in Cambodia is part of Canon's continuous commitment in promoting photography in the country.
CIA courses and workshops will be conducted by reputable photographers in Cambodia, namely Phnom Penh Post's photo editor Will Baxter, Q-Studio's photographer Zeeshan Haider and freelance photographers Moni, Miller, Chhun Bunnawath and Jerry Thai. Beside teaching students photography skills, the academy will also be organizing regular photo shoot outings around Phnom Penh, allowing photo enthusiasts to meet, exchange ideas and capture great pictures together.
"I think anyone passionate about photography will be excited about the opening of CIA. They will now be able to learn a wide variety of photography genres such as photojournalism, landscape, portrait, macro, fashion, pre-wedding and night photography, and receive CIA course certificate at the end of their training." says CIA Manager, Liwen Tan.
The other reason for photographers to celebrate is the launch of Q-Studio.
Q-Studio is Canon's professional photography studio. This studio is every photographer's dream. It is fully equipped with brand new lighting, soft boxes, backdrops and of course Canon's range of DSLR cameras and lenses. Photographers can hire the studio for their photo shoots at a package rate which comes with complimentary technical assistance by in-house photographer Zeeshan Haider.
"Beyond being a professional fully-equipped rental photography studio in Phnom Penh, we want Q-Studio to be an interactive place where people can express their creativity. We're thrilled to offer them essentials tools to make their concepts and photo shoot a success!" explains Q-Studio Manager Camille Plante.
Q-Studio also provides professional photography services to both individuals and corporates. All Q-Studio's shoots will be taken by Zeeshan Haider, who specializes in pre-wedding, portrait and fashion photography, and his portfolio includes marketing campaigns for both local and international brands.
Both CIA and Q-Studio are located in i-Qlick Canon Showroom on No. 146 Preah Sihanouk Boulevard, Phnom Penh.
