तेलंगाना राज्यातील आदिलाबाद जिल्ह्यातील बसार हे एक जनगणना आहे. हे भैन्स्यापासून सुमारे km० किमी (१ mi मै), धर्माबादपासून १.5. km किमी (१० मैल), निजामाबादपासून 34 34. km किमी (२२ मैल), निर्मलपासून km० किमी (mi 43 मैल), आणि हैदराबादपासून २० km किमी (१२ mi मैल) अंतरावर आहे.

काही पुराणकथांनुसार, महर्षि व्यास आणि त्याचे शिष्य आणि Visषी विश्वामित्र यांनी कुरुक्षेत्र युद्धा नंतर शांत आणि प्रसन्न वातावरणात स्थायिक होण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. शांततेच्या निवासस्थानाच्या शोधात तो दंडकाच्या जंगलात आला आणि तेथील शांतता पाहून त्याने हे ठिकाण निवडले. महर्षी व्यासांनी प्रार्थनेत बराच वेळ घालवला म्हणून त्या जागेला "वसारा" असे नाव पडले आणि तेथील मराठी भाषेच्या प्रभावामुळे ते बसरामध्ये बदलले. हे मंदिर मानजीरा आणि गोदावरी नद्यांच्या संगमाजवळ बांधण्यात आलेल्या तीन मंदिरांपैकी एक आहे असेही मानले जाते. ऐतिहासिकदृष्ट्या, सहाव्या शतकात नांदेडची राजधानी म्हणून नांदगीरी प्रांतावर राज्य करणारे कर्नाटकातील राजा 'बिजियालुडू' यांनी बसरा येथे मंदिर बांधले.

According to some myth, Maharishi #Vyas and his disciples and sage #Viswamitra decided to settle down in a cool and serene atmosphere after the #Kurukshetra War. In the quest for a peaceful abode, he came to #Dandaka forest and, pleased with serenity of the region, selected this place. Since Maharishi Vyasa spent considerable time in prayers, the place was then called "Vasara" and turned into #Basara due to the influence of the Marathi language in the region. It is also believed that this temple is one of the three temples constructed near the confluence of the #Manjira and #Godavari rivers. Historically, ' #Bijialudu a Karnataka king, who ruled the province of #Nandagiri with #Nanded as his capital in the sixth century, constructed the temple at #Basara.
