Singapore government not rushing to change policy on NRIC numbers: Josephine Teo

Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo said the Singapore government is not rushing to change policy on unmasking National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) numbers. “We are not making drastic overnight changes. We do however need to move decisively to phase out the incorrect uses of the NRIC number. The sooner, the better,” she said in a news conference on Thursday (Dec 19).
