BNA or Brand New Animal is the latest anime from Studio Trigger. Whether you love them or hate them, it's undeniable that their style and ideas are near the top in terms of creativity. From Kill la Kill to Little Witch Academia, they've made some clear fan favorites. But, are some of their works getting to similar? BNA feels like an in between state of Kill la Kill and Little Witch, with similar protagonists in Ryuko, Akko, and Michiru, with an antagonist that feels like a Ragyou and Croix hybrid. Plus, some structure elements that also make Brand New Animal feel similar to Kill la Kill and Little Witch it's a hard feeling to shake. For the bad notes, there's many good ones though, like some of the best visual elements in terms of color, detail, style, and animation in general. It's worth a watch, but brings up some issues moving forward for the prolific Studio Trigger.
