BEST SOLDERING HEAT MAT FOR PLUMBING? Tools of the Trade

Is this the best soldering heat mat for plumbing? Will it fall apart like all the others?

Does your soldering heat mat always fall apart? Does it catch on fire? Does it have holes in it that let through heat? Well this is my little test to see if I can make a better heat mat for soldering copper pipe. I'm using cement board and piano hinge to do it. Let me know what you think - enjoy!
