The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Box Elder County, Utah.
I had never been to a bird refuge and I didn't know anything about what would be there, so this place surprised me as how good of a place it turned out to be.
There are two different areas - The Visitors Center and its walking paths and a 12 mile self-guided auto tour route. Both are worth the effort and time. Even if you know nothing about birds, this is a great showcase for the beauty of Utah, the Wasatch Front, and the wetlands of the Great Salt Lake.
