Dinky Toys Stuka dive bomber No 721 Diecast airplane custom restoration

In this video I restore a 1970s Dinky 721 Stuka JU87 Divebomber which has been very abused and is missing its canopy, bomb, bomb release mechanism, propeller, tail wheel and is bent out of shape.

So I replace everything bar the tail wheel as its part of the main casting and I bend the whole diecast aircraft back into shape using a heat gun. This actually does no harm to the paintwork but the remaining decals do melt but as they are ruined already i am not concerned about it.

Then i give it a more realistic paint job and new transfers.

This model was brought out as a movie tie in with the 1969 film Battle of Britain from 1969.
