विश्व आदिवासी दिवस 9 अगस्त को हर वर्ष मनाया जाता है | आदिवासी अधिकारों को ले कर सयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने एक अंतराष्ट्रीय कार्य दाल का गठन किया था, जिसकी प्रथम बैठक 9 अगस्त 1982 को जेनेवा में हुई थी | तभी से 9 अगस्त को विश्व आदिवासी के रूप में मनाया जाने लगा | लेकिन इसकी अधिकारी घोषणा 1994 में की गई | आदिवासी शब्द की, यदि बात की जाये, तो आदिवासी शब्द ठाकर बाबा के द्वारा लिया गया था |और ठाकर बाबा को ही आदिवासी का मसीह कह जाता है | विश्व भर में लगभग 5000 ( पाँच हजार ) से अधिक आदिवासी समुदाय हैं | जिनकी जनसंख्या लगभग 40,00,00,000 ( चालीस करोड़ ) हैं | इनकी अपनी अलग - अलग लगभग 7000 ( सात हजार ) भाषाएँ हैं | यदि भारत की बात करें, 2011 जन गड़ना के अनुसार, तो st वर्ग जनसंख्या 8% हैं | सबसे ज्यादा जनसंख्या मध्यप्रदेश में आदिवासियों की है| मध्यप्रदेश में सबसे ज्यादा बील जनजाति हैं | इनका गौरव शाली इतिहास है | हमें गर्व है आदिवासी भाइयों पर जो आज भी अपने महानतम संस्कृति को संजो कर रखे हुए हैं | मुझे खुशी है इस बात पर क्योँकि मैं भी एक आदिवासी हूँ |

World Tribal Day is celebrated every year on 9 August. The United Nations had formed an international working group regarding tribal rights, whose first meeting was held in Geneva on 9 August 1982. Since then, August 9 started being celebrated as World Tribal Day. But its official announcement was made in 1994. If we talk about the word Adivasi, the word Adivasi was coined by thakar Baba. And Thakar Baba is called the Christ of the tribals. There are more than 5000 (five thousand ) tribal communities around the world. Whose population is approximately 40,00,00,000 ( forty crores ). They have about 7000 ( seven thousand ) different languages of their own. If we talk about India, according to 2011 census, the ST population is 8%. Madhya Pradesh has the highest population of tribals. Madhya Pradesh has the largest number of Beel tribes. They have a glorious history. We are proud of our tribal brothers who are still preserving their greatest culture. I am happy about this because I am also a tribal.
