Описание к видео Design 101: The lessons of unity and variety from 1968 and 2012 Olympic branding campaigns

This is day 5 of Basic Design. We critique our sets and explore how we need both unity and variety in our designs. We take a look at the 1968 and 2012 Olympic branding campaigns to show how different contexts can impact the success or failure of a design.

In this video series I am going to follow along with my Basic Design college course. The goal is not to replicate the class, rather, to describe what learning design looks like; what kinds of projects are assigned and why? What are the students learning exactly? Should you pay for a college studio course?

My ultimate goal is to demonstrate how unique art studio courses are and how they can help us better experience life!
