Hello and welcome to my 2nd video of ECML diverts around Cambridgeshire. This one is from multiple stations starting at Whittlesea and ending up at Cambridge North with stops at March, Ely and Waterbeach.

Starting at Whittlesea at roughly 8am, I went to the crossing just west of the station. This place is great as you get quite a lot of tones because of the whistle boards either side of it and you get great views towards Peterborough.

I stay there till 10am and catch the GreaterAnglia train to March. By the time I get to March, I found out that a person was hit by a Edinburgh - London service on Platform 4 at Peterborough. A person was clipped by the train and pulled under it. It happened at the north end of Platform 4 so all southbound ECML services were halted as it fouled the points north of the station. Services did however get resolved quite quickly so it didn't ruin the day too much. I stayed there till 12:30am seeing all the usually services along with a very claggy and smelly top n' tail Class 37 test train with some great tones, a Class 57 with barrier wagons going to Ely and a Class 67 drag which was involved in the incident at Peterborough running ECS to Ferme Park.

After March, I travel to Ely to change trains to Waterbeach. During my time there, there were a couple of ECML diverted trains along with 66100 'Armistice 100' travelling to Sandy and two Freightliner Class 66's working a top n' tail auto-ballaster train to Brimsdown.

After being at Ely, I took the Great Northern service to Waterbeach and spend an hour there seeing the diverts and usual traffic along with some pretty nice tones.

After finishing at Waterbeach, I travel one stop south to Cambridge North and spend roughly an hour there as well. I would have spent longer there but unfortunately I couldn't. There were the usual services together with the diverts. There was also a surprise Thameslink Class 700 on a London - Ely service.

On my way back to March, I change at Ely and see a diverted HST and back at March, I see a couple Class 180's and two CrossCountry Class 170 on a Birmingham and Stansted Airport service.

Overall, a fantastic day and start to the new year. I will have another video on the ECML diverts from 13/1/19.
