Both videos come from the same source video and were encoded as best as I know how to do with both encoders. Both were recorded from the same Saturn using the same composite cables to give them each the best chance of looking good. In Cinepaks case composite helps hide compression artifacts, and in Truemotion's case it helps hide the low color depth.


A lot of people ask why I don't use Truemotion, personally I feel the lower color depth does more harm than good, as with good cinepak encoding the higher color depth more than makes up for it.


Also oddly enough the Truemotion video fell out of sync briefly, even though there was no audio hiccup. My guess is that the player couldn't keep up for a moment and slowed down before catching backup.
