This short video shows how to make a hand made 'awl' to do the 'little holes' in leather...just in case we cannot find one in a store. The materials are a piece of wooden broom and a thick needle 180=24
A grinder is not necessary to sand the butt of needle, it can be placed directly.
As you can see, it is preferable to make the holes as if you were doing it with a sewing machine...I mean, same direction/position of the needle.
The 'openings' in the holes are just enough to let a 'blunt needle (1/16" thick)'pass through...these 'little holes' are useful for any of the hand sewings to do steering-wheels.
In next video, I will show that we can sew by hand in case of not having a sewing machine.
